"Here let's figure out how we're going to add some tension to this train beat. Because a train beat can be rather straight ahead and forward on its own, so how do we create something that is against this solid feeling? And the way we're going to do that is with our hands by playing syncopated accents. So we're going to play not the up beat or the down beat. We're going to play with the left hand, the left hand accents on -e and ah. And I'll show you how and why this creates tension. I'll play the normal train beat for a little while and then I'll switch to the tension version. Ready? Here we go."
