"Here is a Songo version that I like to call a Calypso Bio. Okay holding this all together is simply quarter notes on the high hat. In the first measure we play a Bio rhythm but on the last hit we have a cross stick instead of the bass drum. Close to that on the Calypso, but in the second measure, they're all bass drum. And then finally to fill this groove out, in the spaces where we're not playing with the hand or with the bass drum we add filler clicks with the left hand."
