"This next functional exercise that we're going to be doing using the medicine ball is squats with the medicine ball between our legs. Now, when you're just starting off with this exercise, go ahead and start off with a 2 lb. medicine ball, then work your way up to even a 6 lb. medicine ball if you like. Simply take the ball, place it between your inner thighs just above your knees. So, however big your ball is, that's how much space you're going to have between your feet. So get a good grip, squeeze those inner thighs, and we're really going to work right in here. Get your balance, take your arm straight out, pull your abdominal muscles in and then squat down as far as you can. Now, when you're squatting, make sure that your knees do not shoot over your toes. You want to keep your knees behind your toes, so what that means is you've got to really stick that booty back there, and when you come up squeeze everything together. So squat back and squeeze up. So it's like you're thinking about sitting back into your heels of your feet. Now to make this exercise more challenging, get down there and just hold and you can even do some pulses down here, that's really going to burn, and then you're really going to see those legs shape up. And just make sure that you're breathing properly -in through the nose, out through the mouth- and just make sure you perform those exercises until your legs fatigue. That is the squat with the medicine ball between your legs."
