"This Pilates Standing Exercise is called the Muffin Top Leg Lift. Now that's just a fun name, because if you've got this little area right here that you just want to kind of train we're going to work it. So muffin top, love handles, whatever you want to call it, this is where we're going to work. So place your legs in that third position. So you've got your heel sliding into the arch of your foot. Then you want to place all your weight into that front leg. Slide that back leg diagonally back. So you don't want it to the side or straight back. You want it diagonal and then that's how you're going to focus right here on this area. Bring your arms in front to counter balance, soften that front knee, and lift your back leg up and down. Point through those toes. Think nice and tall thoughts. Breathe naturally. And then if you want to really feel the burn, hold your leg up, flex your foot, and tiny little pulses. So really the technical name or the anatomical name for this area is your gluteus medius and minimus. Right here at the top of your hip. And you can perform that exercise for about a minute and then switch over to your other leg. And that is your Muffin Top Leg Lift."
