"This Standing Pilates Exercise is called Lateral Spine Stretch. Now what we're going to do is we're going to really think about lengthening the spine, reach through the fingertips, and stretching out laterally. So this is very good to do before you start any other Pilates exercises, and then incorporate your breathe. Inhale to one side. Exhale to the other side. Then to add a little bit more movement, add a c-curve. So, you're going to scoop around, sweep your arms up, and then reverse. Scoop around, drive the belly in, and then to incorporate your breath you inhale, then exhale as you scoop around. Inhale to the side, and then exhale as you scoop around. This is really good to warm up the spine, get you ready for any other Pilate's exercises that you are performing. And that is your Lateral Spine Stretch."
