" In this clip, I'm going to demonstrate a skip double bass drum beat. I'm probably just making that term up but what I mean by skip is, it's not going to be continual 8th note or quarter notes or whatever on the bass drum. I'm going to leave certain beats out. Ok, I'm wearing head phones for ear protection; I suggest as young drummers you do the same thing. So here we go. That's a skip double bass drum beat. If you'll notice when I was playing, I was leaving off certain beats on my left foot. It's actually one of the songs I do in the band I play in and its just something cool that anybody can pick up on and learn. So have fun with it."
