"In this segment, of bar tools, I'm going to be discussing the bar mat. Now, your bar mat is a long, rubber, pronged mat, also known as a spill stop behind most bars, that you'll find behind the bars, in order to maintain neatness, and cleanliness and dryness behind your bar. Now, some bars will just use folded towels, if they don't have them, but as you can see, you're going to have a nice long rubber mat. There's a lot of different shapes and sizes, and they have little prongs, and the idea being is that you can rest your glassware on here, specifically when pouring your drinks and any of the spillage is going to go inside of that bar mat. Now, you're going to find these in your wells, right on the side and they're perfect for placing you know, your tins and your glassware on because the rubber's actually going to help keep it in place while pouring your drink. One little interesting fact of information is at the end of a lot of nights, at busy bars, you're going to have a nice buildup of lots of different fluids, whether it be your mixer, your alcohol, whatever. And, there's a drink called a Matador, that being at the end of the night, you take all that sludge, pour it into a shot glass and you can serve it as a dare, so there is some interesting information about your bar mats."
