"So we have turned off the breaker which controls this porcelain receptacle. And then now we're going to, we have ensured that there is no electricity to this socket, so we're going to take the screws out of it. This one has a couple of drywall screws holding it in which is really not proper, but this is a pretty old house and I guess that's how they did it. Okay, so now we have both of the screws removed, the fixture should come down. Okay, we've got some pretty old wiring here, but now you can see there are just two wires to this. The white is going to be the neutral, and the main line in is the black one. There is no ground on this, this is simple two wire circuit. So we'll loosen this, and then we're going to loosen this connector. Now if you don't have the power off, this is a very dangerous situation here, so we need to make sure that the power is off. I'm going to go ahead and take these screws out all the way. Now we have removed the old porcelain fixture. "
