Pat's ready now to get started on the bottom liner. What I'm going to do now is clean off the numbing agent that I applied. That's just the topical one. I leave that other eye with product until I get to it. Now we're going to break the skin. I check my needle tip, make sure that everything is just perfect and I already stirred my color. Dip in, clean off the edge. Now, this is where you have to be cautious with your client. Make sure that you have her working with you. Now, Pat, I'd like you to take a look behind you. Up to the corner of the room, if you would. Then I pull the eye down and I lightly just scratch across the hairline. Just gentle scratching to break that skin, following right along the hairline, nowhere else. Just have the client look up in the corner, away from the work so it doesn't disturb her. But she should be pretty numb so I don't think she's feeling anything. And all we're interested in here is to break the skin so I can put the rest of the product in to finish this work. I stay right on the hairline so I have a beautiful smooth consistent line. No misses, or goops, or any problems in it because this is very important that this is done just perfectly. I've done thousands of these procedures and through the years you become better and better at it like anything else that you do. I'm going to hold that until I get a clean that excess color away so we don't get that in her eye. Now we're ready to apply the numbing agent.
