"This next kumitach is a really good drill for musubi or connection. Really focus on trying to pay attention to where your partner is, and what the response is. So, I'm going to start, not is saigon, but ushoa jodahsoa, (it's going to be up here). Daniel has got a sword in saigon, he's pointing towards my throat. Whenever I think there's going to be some sort of an attack coming, I'm going to slide through and try to deflect. Okay. On this, I don't want to whack it, I want to slide through, make a connection, and flick it down. Daniel is then going to draw it over, doing yakuman. As he does that, I step straight out, 1,2. Then my sword comes up and over, and cuts this down, kind of deflects this down. That keeps this front knee forward, where going to go straight towards Daniel. This knee is going to push off, cutting from the floor to the ceiling. Daniel has got to step straight back, his right leg is going to stay up, he's going to do a cut; I want to get this to here. He can't really do an attack because I'm able to lean in and get his throat. When I determine that I'm ready, I'm going to slack this off a little bit, and deviate. That's when Daniel is going to start the attack, I'm going to come in, and I'm going to finish here. So I get an enclin, he's about to attack, I step, deflect. He's coming, I step, step, cut down, attack, and finish. This is all about flow. Okay. Lets do it once this way. Okay."
