"This technique I'll be standing and walking as we advance in ashindru. Start out with seated technique, then do more and more standing, and then there's okiden, or deep secret techniques where you're sitting with your one knee up, or tatihiza. This here standing technique we're going to start out walking. I'll demonstrate it and then we'll talk through each of the parts. Okay, this is a very simple technique. We're going to take three steps. We're going to start out right, as we take the second step we're going to go for the saia and the sword. Third step I start to extend the foot, and I also start to draw the sword. The last minute, again, I turn the saia, cut all the way across. It's very similar to saisa mai. From this position, I'm going to hop or at least I'm going to bring my back foot to my heel, and then I'm going to push off with that left foot in the back. As I do that, I'm going to come through and cut. Finish this cut, bringing it down to waist level, then I do a flikchiwudi, straight to the side. That's going to flick the blood off. Then I'm able just to bring it back here and do a standing noto. Again, from that position, bringing everything to center, walking back three steps, and then finishing."
