"In this clip we're going to sand a switch plate cover and outlet receptacle. The next step in our process is sanding. After you've cleaned with the alcohol, we have to sand in order to allow the outlet and the switch plate cover to accept the paint, it needs a tooth to accept a paint. And so we're going to use sandpaper. And for this, we'll we'll want the finest grit that we can get, because we don't want to scratch or mar the product, we just want to give it a tooth. This happens to be a 150, which is a fine grit. The higher the number, the finer the grit, so you don't want a coarse 50 or 60, you want at least 150. We just want a small piece, because we're just going to be doing a small item. So we'll rip a small piece of the sandpaper off, and we?ll actually start sanding. Now you might find this to be strange, your sanding this plastic, but you really want to get a good, a good action going. And you want to actually feel the shininess of the outlet and the cover going away. You want it to be gritty feeling. So you'll give it a good sand, getting all the corners, because if there's any shininess left, that paint will not adhere. You want to be careful to clean out the holes where your plugs are going to go in, because if that has grit in it that won't work, once you, once you get it done. So you'll sand it and sand it until it has a nice kind of a rough feel. The same with your outlet cover. And you want to to be sure that you get the screws done as well, because you'll be painting those too. And you'll just sand, do a real good job and make sure that you also get in here so that every inch has got a tooth. When you hold it up you should actually be able to see that the shininess is gone, and you should be able to feel some of the plastic on your fingertips. Doesn't take very long to get a good feel to it. Once you think you're ready we'll move on to the next step."
