O.k. so last time we talked about shifting up; now this time we're going to go ahead and talk about down shifting, and engine braking. When we're shifting down it's basically the same thing; when you're going to go ahead and shift in you're going to pull in that clutch except instead of pulling your foot up, you're going to push that foot down; drop it down into the next gear. Now when you do that you also want to give it a little bit of gas so that way your engine or your back tire doesn't slide out because you if you have no R.P.M's and you drop that clutch it runs the risk of also letting your back tire slide out a little bit. So when you guys are down shifting, just we're going to go ahead and just chuff the throttle a little bit; we're just going to go ahead a give it a little bit quick vroop like that and we're going to drop that clutch out a little bit, nice and easy. The other thing is engine braking; instead of using your brakes all the time, going down a hill it's really important to think about this; we can drop it into a lower gear and slow ourselves down by dropping to that lower gear and easing off that throttle, that's going to slow our back tire down real quick especially if your R.P.M's are pretty high up there. So instead of braking all the time going down hills try and just use that engine braking.
