"In addition to keeping the bedding clean on your bed each week, it's very important to make sure that your mattress is protected as well. Did you know that the lifespan of having a mattress, your mattress doubles its weight because of the dust mites, and the dead dust mites, and its fecal matter develop into your mattress and stay there, and cause your mattress to get heavier and heavier over the years. Very disgusting, and you wouldn't even think about it, but what you can do to help prevent having any kind of allergy symptom to dust mites, is that you can get a mattress cover for your mattress and also for your box-spring. Dust mites cannot penetrate this, and the dust mites that happen to be in your mattress, they won't even be able to come out of it because they'll be trapped in this barrier. And what that involves... and you can get these at almost any store, there are special allergy stores. I got them at a local store for a pretty good deal. It's a giant pillow case with a zipper for your bed. And, you slide it on, you make sure you wash it every couple of weeks. It has a zipper and it's a great protector for your mattress. It's also great because it's waterproof for young children. It doesn't have a kind of a crunchy plastic sound to it. It's a great idea to have especially if you suffer from allergies to dust mites."
