"And now how to play vinyl at Valley Free Radio. What we have here is an Audio Technica turn-table. And things you need to know, you put it on there. Turn the power on. That's been a non-stop source of trouble. People forgetting about the power. There's a lot of different ways to go around about playing a, playing vinyl on this thing. But I do it like this. Hit start, make sure your speed's right, you know, pick it up with the, make sure it's picked up with the little arm lifter. Find a track. Drop the needle. Folks may ask, how do you find the track you want to play without the people at home hearing you playing various tracks. Well what you do again, use your Cue function. So I've selected turn table one as the input. I've got it on. So now we're just, the folks at home aren't hearing it. See there's no levels. They're not hearing that at home. So now you can find the track you want to play back at your turn-table. So that wasn't the track we want. Let's say it's the next track. Pick it up, scoot it over, let it down. OK, scoot it a little more. There it is. Now once you hear it. Stop and contrary to what your mom said you can play this backwards a little bit without injuring it on this professional grade turn-table you can do that. Turn it until you don't hear anything. And go another, I go a half a turn because I'm conservative. That way when you hit start, listen, listen for it. When you hit start you won't hear it starting up. The alternative is, if you leave the record cued right to where it's already playing, this is what they'll hear at home. Which has its own groovy charm. So, that's basically how you play a record on the air. Use your cue function on the board to set up the track. Get it to where you hear a sound and then turn it back a quarter turn or so."
