"The next step that we are going to do in our hand massage is we are actually going to go ahead and have the client pull out her keys, cell phone, sunglasses, money, anything that she is going to need before her nails get polished. After she has her jewelry back on and everything else that she is going to need, we're going to put a little bit of either acetone or alcohol on to a cotton ball and then we are going to wipe all of the oils and lotion off of her nail bed. What this does is it dries out the nails so that the polish can adhere to the nail itself. If you have any fuzzies, go ahead and remove them. Now when you have polished the nails you want to go ahead and apply a base coat, apply two coats of polish and then apply a top coat as well and that is how you prep the nails and polish them after a hand massage."
