"So we've talked a little bit about the heart of a song or that seed idea that permeates and informs the direction of the writing. The direction of the writing can take twists and turns and sometimes you end up with what you thought that you, with what you thought your were going to end up with. And sometimes, you end up with possibly three different songs or new ideas coming as you are on your journey of writing the song. We also talked about how that seed idea will inform the lyrics. The lyrics, that the lyrics are an important component in songwriting and because songs are to be sung and communicated through singing or speaking, in the case of rap music. Spoken word is also critical and that has to do with the rhythm in the lyrics. And now, we're going to move into structure and all of these ideas or concepts in the song, which includes the, which you need to hold on to that main idea of what do I want to say in this song, "what is my point in this song," will inform the structure.
