"Hi, I'm Chris Miller. Anytime that you pick up a shotgun, the first thing that you want to look at in addition to the safety of the gun, is it unloaded and is the safety on, is is it in good working order. Has the shotgun been cleaned? Has it been maintained? Does it look like there's any issues with the gun? If the gun has any issues, you absolutely do not want to discharge the gun. You want to take it immediately to your, to your local gunsmith, or the gun is retired completely, in which case you should, you should remove it actually from your, from your gun collection. So again, make sure that your weapon is clean, no obstructions in the barrel, again, that can be a cause sometimes of people getting hurt when they pick up a gun that hasn't been maintained properly. They haven't checked it out completely, and the gun's loaded up without the proper precautions and unfortunately, the result of that can be that the gun explodes in someone's face. So, we certainly don't want that to happen, safety again, is number one, and along with safety is that we always say never point the gun at anything that you don't intend to shoot."
