In this clip I will show you the basic steps of the dance of the Ruchenitza. The count is in three seven eights musical measurement. So, we start from shifting the weight from right to left, one two three, one two three, one two three, one two three. There is a little bit of postponement or prolongation on the three which is really like walking or marching. But there is a little bouncing movement, one two three, one two three, one two three, one two three. This movement can be done in walking forward or backwards, one two three. Or sideways, one two three, one two three, one two three, one two three, one two three, one two three. This step has variations which is called cross step. Instead of shifting the weight forward we shift the weight with a cross step, one two three, one two three, one two three, one two three.
