"Now once you have removed the spark plug and gotten your new spark plugs, some spark plugs companies make it now to where you don't have gap the surface in between the electrode and the tab that is on the spark plug so it makes it a lot simpler to just go ahead and do the job freely but then if you do have to gap them there is a special gapping tool. You gap into a certain tolerance whether it be .05 or whatever or what have you to make sure that you have the proper contact between the spark plug tab and its electrode to get the proper amount of spark and what you want to do is put the spark plug back into the tool that you use to the spark plug socket to make sure that it does not fall out so it doesn't crack and once again this is one of the things that you have to thread into the hole first before anything so that you are not cross threaded because once again you will have a lot of trouble on your hands if it does get cross threaded into the head. What you want to do is you want to use your fingers to wind it back down into the hole and then get your socket wrench and snug it down to make sure you get these at a proper torque to make sure it does not fly out of the hole at a later time period so that is how you put your spark plug back into the head."
