"So we're going to go ahead and swaddle our baby with a regular receiving blanket. Now this blanket's actually nice and large. And it's made of muslin which is a nice kind of a little kind of a little bit more of a stretchy, breathable, natural cloth. So that might be something to consider when picking out a receiving blanket or a blanket that you may use for swaddling. This one is a great big blanket so it can be wrapped up nice and snug. First thing you want to do is you have your baby nice and secure next to you. You want to go ahead and spread out your blanket kind of in a diamond type of shape in front of you. And fold down the top corner. And then what we want to do is take baby carefully. Lay him down so his head is over the top of the fold with his shoulders just right there. And bring the one side over. The one corner. Making sure it's nice up and tight up at the shoulder, wrapping it over, if you have to lift his feet a tiny bit to get underneath, wrapping that nice and tight around, nice and snug around babies back, and then coming down to the bottom of the blanket and folding it up nice and snug, nice and snug and then pulling it a little bit taut here and taking this other side of the blanket, folding it all the way over. And we want to get it nice and snug, and in this case we're going to go ahead and swaddle baby with his arms and everything in tact underneath the blanket. So nice and snug giving a nice firm pull. And then you can bring baby and pick them up. And you have them in a nice snug wrap so that they are nice and snug and secure. There's not a lot of movement. They just feel very contained and comforted."
