"Now that you're ready to start tying with a lead rope we are going to use some yarn to tie around the bottom ring of the horse's halter. We can then attach the lead rope to the yarn instead of the metal ring and that way if the horse gets scared the yarn will break so it is a nice safety precaution. So I'm going to tie this yarn just around the bottom ring and then I can attach the lead rope to the yarn and then I'm going to make a nice big release knot, safety knot here and it is important that we use this kind of knot so if we get in trouble it will quickly release and then you just want to stand by to make sure everything goes o'kay."
