"To do cartoon voice overs the skills that you need are basically you need diversity, you need to be able to think on your feet. You need to have the ability to convey very intense emotions, obviously without the use of being on camera so they are not going to see a facial gesture or a hand gesture or anything like that. So you have to put everything into the lines that you are reading. You also need skills like improv because sometimes they'll be moments on the script where you're going to you know, it doesn't quite fit or it doesn't quite work, so you're going to have to make something up. The other skills that you need are the ability to sound like different things like sometimes you need to sound like an animal. I've had to do cats, I've had to do you know a mouse, I've had to do a horse, I didn't do it very well. I've had to be a monkey, accents are a really big skill, especially if you want to do multiple voices, you know if you can do a French accent, a Spanish accent or German accent any type of accent will help you a great deal. Those are main skills that you really, really need."
