Video Transcript

"Ok, so another important job the dog guide does is to indicate steps. Obviously, this is vital for the safety of the new owner, that when the dog reaches the top of a flight of steps, it stops, and then waits, and then proceeds really steadily down the steps, keeping its owner safe. Steps can be really dangerous and really frightening, and having the security of a dog indicating those steps for you is a big comfort and a big help. The dog indicates and upward flight of steps by putting his front two floors on the first stair. So, the dog will stop at the top, wait. "
