"While you're out in the wilderness head injuries are something you've definitely got to consider. If you fall and you trip on roots or you trip on rocks you can really end up damaging your head. So if there is major bleeding you've got to go ahead and control the wound, clean it out, get all the debris and material that's in it out of it, and then you want to go ahead and make a triangle bandage. You can make these by tearing up a T-shirt, tearing up a rag, or if you have a medical bag, you know obviously you would already have a bandage. One of the easiest ways to put these guys on is to go ahead and pull it right over their head, onto the forehead and to pull the back sash part back, and obviously you want to make sure they're comfortable while you're putting this on and that it's not too tight. But the major purpose of this is to keep material and other infectious debris out of the wound itself. So is that alright. Good deal. So as long as you make sure that the wound is covered and you're getting them to medical attention quickly, usually a lot of times head, head injuries that are major can really be avoided just by covering the wound and getting them to help quickly.
