"Okay, we're going to be talking about Eiger Nordwand right now. This is the Swiss Alps track. This course is good to practice drifting because it has a fair variety of turns that are fairly tight. We have the double hairpin section, at the front, followed by this long sweeping right, coming up after this slight left. This corner is good to practice your entry speed and also catch another car, and keeping the car sliding, as best you could. This corner after this long sweeper will be a fast right-hander. You're going to have to look at the horizon, to kind of gage where to throw the car. I like to look, at those white snow-tipped mountains you see right back there. Really nice, visual point to look at. You want to take a look at a lot of the visual clues. You'll notice that the producers, Kazunori Yamauchi, left a lot of markers for us to use around these tracks. For instance, there are these flags that are hanging around in the background. Which you can take a look at and figure out where you want to throw your car. By looking at those markers, you're kind of able to get your car on a nice line, and be able to drift smoothly as well as know where you are on the track. Because it is a video game you can't feel what's going on, through your backside. But if your eyes are far enough forward on all the visual clues left, at the tracks, you'll be able to figure out where and when you can initiate turning and throw out an application. So you can always be nice and smooth, and do all of the tough stuff, fairly easy. So take a look at the tracks, look at the backgrounds, look at everything. They left a lot of visual clues for us to use. So we know where we are on the racetrack. So, so let's go ahead and look at these first corners, if you can see the flags are on the first corners. I like to use those as reference points, to throw the car, and aim the car off, on the correct line. This next long sweeper is kind of difficult because you have just this little black flag here to kind of tell you where you should throw your car in and then you have nothing until you look at the edging casings, and the Mobil sign. And you can use those as a reference point for your throttle application. Come up this corner, once again you want to try to find the snow-tipped mountains, and there they are. You just want to steer the car towards those mountains, as best you can without losing control. So practice, learn the courses, learn the visual markers, or whatever you find that helps you visually, and you'll be able to start drifting."
