"Welcome to Fuji again. This time I'm going to talk about feint drifting. All feint drifting is, is throwing the car the opposite direction of the corner before you turn in. Also called the Scandinavian flick to rally drivers. It's pretty much a rally technique used to get the car sideways and going through a corner, but it can be applied to drifting because in drifting all we're doing is trying to drive sideways. So, let's start off by coming into this corner. All we're going to do is steer opposite before we turn in and that gets us drifting. I'm not concentrating on staying on the course right now. I'm just trying to show you guys the technique. Kind of over over-acting the technique so you guys really see what it's like. You can use feint for almost any corner when you drift. Turn on the drift, turn in, catch the bump as you slide out and that's feinting. So once again just turn out, turn in, catch the car as you slide through. And all feinting really is is the hard weight shift of the car from the outside to the inside so you get the back end swinging around you. Feint, catch it, power out. So feinting's probably one of the easiest ways to get your car sideways and start a drift. Almost everyone I know uses feint has the techniques to start drifting. It's very helpful. You can really feel the effects in a 4-wheel drive car. That's why I'm in a Subaru right now so you can really see me feint really hard. So on this fast corner we're just going to brake hard, turn out, turn in, and spin. So feint's pretty much a basic way to get your car sideways. It takes a lot of practice to get used to how hard to throw it. If you throw the car too hard, you're just going to end up sliding out like that way off course. But since we're just trying to practice this maneuver it's okay. Let's just get back on course and we'll try and feint this tight section down here. Steer out, steer in, gas out. So let's feint again down here. We're going to really overemphasize this so I might spin, but it's just so you can see what's going on. Turn out, real, real hard, and catch the car as you slide through. Once again you turn out, turn in, catch the car as you slide through the corner. Okay, so let's feint this last corner. Just out and in really hard. And there you go guys. That's feinting in a nutshell."
