"Hi guys, welcome back to Fuji. All we're going to practice liftoff throttle to enter a drift. A liftoff is simply the lifting of the accelerator pedal as you turn in. And that in itself will get the rear end sliding so you just lift off and turn in a little bit, this is sliding. Try and catch the car as you're sliding. And together we're not really worried about staying on the course we're just primarily focusing on how to get this technique down, just liftoff and start sliding. Just lift, catch it and gas out of the runway. That's a liftoff over steer, a liftoff entry. A liftoff, all it does is shift the cars weight forward without the use of the brakes. And that that little weight shift forward is enough to get the car sliding so just lift. Turn it. Catch the car as you're sliding. Takes some practice just lift. Catch the car. Try and keep your power in the rev range as best as you can. And liftoff is primarily used on high speed corners. Doing it on these low speed sections is quite tough so this corner here you could just liftoff turn in a little bit, the car will start sliding and you catch it. So let's try this again or I'll try and liftoff downward as clearly so you can see it really clearly. This technique is for high speed corners. So we're going to start the lap of Fuji GT. We're just going to concentrate on using the technique and not worry so much about staying on the course quite yet. Make sure you brake. Keep under control. And this next corner that's coming up is very good for a liftoff throttle. You have to be careful not to over shoot this corner. You touch the car as you go through. Once again you can see my hands are trying not to leave the wheel. My hands is always in contact with the wheels so you feel what the car is feeling. And pretty much that's liftoff in a nut shell. I'll try and show you guys a little more of it as we get to the final sections of this course. This is a fast corner but we're going to brake early. Lift the throttle. Catch it and try and slide right through it. Okay and last corner just simple lift get the car sliding, catch it and you fly your car. That's liftoff in a nut shell. Now you guys can practice this technique. It comes in handy on high speed corners. Its pretty difficult to get a hang of because you will be going fairly fast and you won't be using your brake at all. So that is liftoff over steer in a nut shell."
