"So in this clip we'll look at a gentler, easier inversion. Some people can't get their hips up over their chest and go all the way up into shoulder stand. So this is a great alternative, just as therapeutic and you don't get the same full inversion for the organs, but still reversing the blood flow back to the heart, pumping it back into the organs. If you're upright all day, getting the feet above the head really helps to move the blood, again helping to cleanse the blood, moving it through the liver, creating some shifts for seasonal change. You'll want a couple blankets and folding them into a bolster shape so they're more a slender rectangle shape. Stacking the blankets and positioning them about six inches from the wall. Entering into the position can be a little tricky, you want to make sure that you get on the outside hip so you get your sit bones against the wall. So basically I'm laying on my side, on the bolster. Then coming on to your shoulders just swing the legs up the wall. So the bolster catches you at the back of your pelvis and a little bit in your lumbar spine. Creating a nice angle for the blood to keep flowing down to the heart and just relax. To exit, you would do it the same way, bend your knees, roll to the side, keep your head and neck relaxed, and pushing with your hand to come up. Enjoy the benefits of inverting."
