Spring body cleansing is another way of detoxifying the body. Detoxification is a natural way to rid the body of unwanted substances that get trapped internally due to the wear and tear of modern life. Simple things like putting lemon in water can help get rid of toxins in the liver. Stretches can help digestion and practicing breathing techniques strengthen the lungs. In this free body cleansing video series, let a certified yoga instructor explain the benefits a spring body cleanse. She discusses using a Neti Pot for cleansing the nasal cavities, breathing styles to help lungs, using ear candles to remove wax from the ears and performing stretches and twists to help digestion and liver function. "Hi, happy spring. Today we're going to look at ways that you can make the transition from winter to spring smoother for your body. Spring is the time for new life, new growth, new ideas, potential big changes for you in your life. And so getting your body in that same vibe will be helpful for you. So detoxifying and losing the sludge of winter, changing your diet: we're going to look at a lot of that today. A few things we'll look at are ways to clear out the nose and the ears that could be problematic due to allergies during this time of year. And a really simple way... we'll be looking at the liver a lot with some techniques to keep the liver clean. A really good way to do that is just putting fresh lemon juice in all of the water that you drink. The liver is the largest internal organ and it detoxifies the blood. And so the better foods we can eat and the more help we can give our liver to detoxify the easier life will be for the rest of the body. A couple of really good ways that we won't look at specifically today are diet, like eating fresh raw greens. Dandelion greens for example, which probably grow in you yard, can be eaten fresh daily. Or you can buy them at the store. That helps to clear the blood. And additionally sweating, sweating through your skin at least once a week, getting a good sweat will help to make life easier for your liver, detoxifying your body. And eating good oils, like really good cold pressed, virgin olive oil is a great way to make the body a lot more healthy and strong and helping your liver so that it doesn't have to filter out the bad oils."
