"Okay, now we are ready to attach the straps to the apron and go ahead and shut the apron. What you're going to want to do is find the raw edges, remember we finished off one edge on all of them, and one of them has a raw edge. That's what you want to be on the inside. Now since we want this to be attached, in between the two, we're actually going to put it between the two pieces of material, you can decide if you want, I actually zigzagged on mine. So I want to make sure I have the zigzag both going the same way, and pin it in place. And be sure after you pin it in place, that you make sure it's not along the seam or it will get caught in the seam and you'll have to take it out. And the other one goes the same way. And just pin it in place, try and make sure they're about even from the sides, because that will be noticeable because that's right up by your head, so you want to make sure you've got that right. Now the side straps you can put if you want more of an empire waist, you can put them up higher, which my kids like, so that's how I'm going to do this one. Or sometimes if you want to wrap it around a little more, you can put it a little lower and it will pull the apron a little more around you. It's very important that you make sure the straps are even, because otherwise it looks a little funny. So this one I'm going to put right before it starts curving out, and I like my zigzag to be on the bottom, so that's how I'm putting it on there. Now it will get a little goofy with all the straps under there, you'll notice it will pull funny, so you've just got to kind of keep readjusting it and make sure everything is lined up. And again I want to make sure my zigzag is on the bottom, tuck all of this in here, and this will give it a much cleaner look than if you just try to attach the straps when you already have your product put together. So I'm going to pin this, and after I pin that one I'm going to pull it up and make sure that they are in the same spot from the top. So there's the top, there's the two straps, looks like they're matching up pretty good. Then we're going to go ahead and stitch them together. And I cut my purple piece seems to be a little bigger so I'm going to leave that on the bottom, because it's always easier if you have a larger piece, to leave that on the bottom, then you won't end up stitching off of it. Always go backstitch to lock it, and go right through the strap. I usually use about 1/2" I like, because that allows for a little more fraying, rather than the 1/4" tends to be too small and you can have it pull out immediately and that's not fun. Make sure if you feel something bumpy in the material, make sure you get the straps out of the way because that could be the strap sneaking out the side. When I get to the bottom, I am going to stop, I just backstitch there, I'm going to leave the bottom open. Do the same thing down the other side. And that's how you go down that side, I actually ran out of thread in my bobbin so I'll put that back in there and go back down that side. "
