"Ok. Next, we want to prepare the material. You always want to follow directions when you're washing and drying. Most people will recommend that you wash and dry before projects. Kind of depends on the project for me, whether or not I feel it's necessary. It usually helps to reduce shrinkage and it will give you more of a, your product will come out how it's going to stay. Whereas, if you don't wash it first it will usually change a little bit once it's been washed a couple times. But, sometimes I don't mind that. I do always recommend that you do iron your material. Usually, start from the center. Turn it up a little. Make sure you have it set for whatever your material is. And, just kind of work the wrinkles all towards the edges. And, you can do this on an ironing board. A lot of times, I like to use it. Just put a couple layers of material on the table as long as I'm not ironing too hot. Because, then I don't have to worry about keep readjusting the material. I can get more of a idea of where my wrinkles are and get them all out in one long swoop, instead of having to constantly readjust it. And, once your material is washed and dried and ironed then your material is prepared."
