"Hi, I'm Jeremy Blackwell. I'm here today to help you get started on your basement remodel project. The budget is very important because that gives you an accurate idea of how much you're going to spend on the project and that way you can stay within that budget and not waste your money. I use the computer a lot to schedule my project. I use the MicroSoft project software, to schedule the project. You can pick up versions of these online or at any bookstore. MicroSoft project helps to see what's coming down the line so you can order your cabinets in time to be installed, rather than waiting until the last minute, ordering you cabinets and waiting four to five weeks, for them to be delivered. In order to keep my schedules and my projects on budget, I use MicroSoft Excel, which is another computer program. With Excel, I type in the budget, the budgeted amount is what I think I'll be using, for certain aspects of the project and I try to stay within those budgets, as I go along the project. If I find I have money left over, in one area, I try to use that somewhere else, where maybe I've gone over. As long as you have a budget, you'll be able to stay within a certain price range and not waste a lot of your money and time. "
