"Hi, I'm Jeremy Blackwell, I'm here today to help you get started on your basement remodel project. Remodeling a basement can be a big task. When you want to remodel your basement, you first want to think about how big it is and what you want to do, with your basement. If it's a big task, you may want to consult a licensed professional, if it's something you think you can take on your own, then just make sure you plan ahead. You'll want to talk with the city, to get a building permit. The first step, in starting a project like this, is to accurately plan out the project. What I use is a Microsoft project. It's a computer schedule, to help me accurately determine when I'm going to need certain people and when I'm going to need certain materials. The reason a plan is so important is so that you can accurately develop a schedule and a budget. At my company we use a schedule, to help us to see when we'll need certain traits and when we'll need certain materials, on the project, so that we don't waste any time or money. This is a good example of how our electrician has planned ahead. We are planning on framing this wall in and building a theater, in this area, so he's run us some wire, so that when we do decide to start framing on this, we can frame it and then we'll still have access to the electrical circuit, that's needed for this room."
