"Hello. Good morning. Today we're going to talk about how to use yoga to revive and wake up instead of depending on caffeine or something else. It's good to have a yoga routine in the morning to help you wake up and help your body sort of transition from sleep and put yourself in a good place to tackle the day. There are a couple of things that the yogi's recommend aside from an asana practice. And I feel like those are important enough to mention. So when you wake up in the morning first of all it's important that you wake up before the sun. Rising before the sun is important because the energy that fills that time of day is a sort of get up and go energy whereas if you rise later you're going to run into a more sedentary energy. And that's going to carry with you throughout your day. So according to the Hindu mystics in Yogi you should wake up before the sun rises. There are a couple of other things that you should do. You should get your body going as soon as possible. Just have a glass of water. Just room temperature with a little bit of lemon in it. Get the Paracelsus going in your system and your system kind of going. Splash your face with water. Use a little aroma therapy. A little oil right on your third eye and get ready for your yoga practice. After you've done your asana practice it's important to give yourself a little shower. Brush your teeth and have some breakfast. You have to eat something in the morning. It's dreadfully important. But don't eat before your yoga practice. Please wait until after your yoga practice. If you have certain health problems including spinal problems, glaucoma, heart problems or if you're pregnant, some of these postures are not appropriate for you. You need to research that. You need to speak to your doctor before you do them and you need to be sure not to push yourself. Work to your limit. Push your envelope but don't injure yourself. This is not a competition. This is for your health. This is so you can feel better. It needs to feel good for you. Alright. Let's begin our practice."
