"OK, now we have our rake fully assembled. And we have all our teeth on so we're just going to set that aside and allow that to dry. And now we are ready to start painting our craft wood. Now I've applied my first coat. You can get these in any local hardware store or at your local craft store. You want one that has a nice lip, a nice ledge because we're going got be filling that with sand. You are going to take acrylic paint which I've already done here and you're going to going to take your paper plate and squeeze about a drop of paint on there. And again make sure that your paint brush bristles are wet. Mine are here. We're just going to dip both sides and you are going to start applying your paint. You want to make sure you go with the grain of the wood and do nice even strokes. I'm going horizontally with the grain on my wood. And again I applied my first coat because I like a nice deep purple color. You can apply as many coats as you like but make sure you give yourself anywhere from twenty minutes up to an hour. And mostly recommend giving yourself an hour between coats. If you want a darken those colors. And you want to get that all the way around. Make sure you get all your edges. Since we're dealing with a piece of wood that is going got have a lip. And when you are completed with that set it aside and allow it to dry for an hour. Because then we are going to be placing sand in the bottom of this. "
