These pieces that you're going to see now are from Darangan, which is actually the epic, the longest epic in Mindanao, so far. The epic of the Maranaw people where we actually revere up to now and tell the story through dances. Now the first dance that you're going to see is called Pagaapir-apir which is the dance of the fan telling the story of the butterfly who lead Rajah Mangandiri and Putri Malayla Malano Ganding, these are the translations of Rama and Sita, which is a remnant of the Srivijayah empire of India during the 10th of, during the 4th to 10th century where Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, used to be called Donya Malayan de Santara was part of that segment of the history. Now this particular dance is part of that Rajah Mangandiri story.
