"So here's your three keys right here. And once you press a key down there's actually holes in the valves inside and it directs the air through. So you have three keys right here and in order to make the different notes what you do is actually blow through there and push the different key down in relation to what note you're trying to play. The air goes through the holes and directs it into the tubes here to get your different notes. And I can show you real briefly here. And there are different note combinations and different finger combinations for the different scales. So you kind of have to memorize these in these three notes kind of which ones go where. And for many of these since there are only three keys many notes are for one fingering. So, let's just do open. No notes, OK? Did you hear that little tweak in between the note? That's air kind of figuring out where it's going to go in the different tubes. Now I can do first finger and it's going to be the same things. So your brain really has to work with the trumpet knowing kind of what notes you're playing in order to have them come out right. And your mouth has to be trained in which one's going to be where. If you're going to be playing a lower notes your omniture is actually going to be loose. If you play high, you actually need to tighten it quite a bit in order to get those out. For humans, this is really not a part of the body that's going to have muscle: it's not supposed to. So in order to play trumpet well you really need to put the time and effort into it and practice. You know, first day maybe ten minutes, the next day fifteen and kind of build it up that way. And your muscles get trained in order to play longer."
