"In this clip we're actually going to cut out the first horizontal piece on our, on our diffusion panel. We've got everything marked nice and blue so that we can see it; a nice contrasting color against the white. And we're just going to use a basic hacksaw. When you do it just start off nice and slow. It will cut really, really easy. As you get down to the bottom half of it support your rod on the other side. You've got a nice clean cut. If you come in close here you can see that this has all kind of rough edges on it. You can use like a wire brush to get rid of those inside and outside. You can use a file, or what a lot of plumbers do because they do this a lot, is that they will use the edge on the PVC itself and just rotate it. It gives a pretty nice clean edge. And there is our first four foot piece. We're just going to continue doing this until we get all of our pieces cut. When you do this it's a lot easier if you use clamps. Did I not get the other one marked? Ok now we're just going to cut off the end piece. The PVC pipe comes in ten foot lengths. Their cost is pretty minimal. They're a little over $2.00 per ten foot length which means just the framework for your diffusion panel winds up less than $10.00. Ok that's our last cut on the PVC. If you're thrifty you might consider saving some of these pieces that are not going to be used in this panel. They can be used to make smaller panels. You can also cut them out and use them for clips to hold your fabric on."
