"A great variation of the backside 180 kick flip is the half cab 180 kick flip. A half cab 180 kick flip is almost exactly the same trick, only you start out rolling fakie. So what you do is, you're rolling backwards, hit the tail, do an ollie, flip the board half cab 180 flip, and then land and roll away forward. You're going to have to basically be able to roll backwards, do half cab 180s, and have a basic knowledge of flipping your board and being able to jump back on it. So you roll backwards and since the momentum you're traveling at is in the same direction as your pop, the 180 is going to be a lot easier to do. The harder thing to do is going to is to be able to pop up the board and be able to catch it. This is just going to take trial and error, and practice in how to do. But the half cab 180 flip is a great trick. It's also a great trick to have because sometimes you'll be rolling fakie or switch and be able to half cab flip, land, and then continue rolling straight."
