Tank Top Beach Bag: Seal with Applique

"Okay, now we're ready to seal off the bottom of our bag and we're going to do one on the inside and repeat the process on the outside as well. On the inside you can just use a patch, but for the outside we're going to use this really pretty applique. So I've got my shirt right side in, and I've put my hand in it towards the bottom so I can blouse it out. And I want to lay it down on a hard surface like an ironing board or a cutting board. And I'm going to take my applique and I'm going to lay it over this area that we have that was the bottom, the opening. And you're going to have to iron it on for a while. It's going to take about thirty seconds per section. You want to set it to a cotton setting and you just want to start working that applique on there. And you're going to iron that on and that's going to bind to the fabric and then that's going to seal the bottom of your bag. And whatever parts you don't use, you're just going to cut away that excess. So we're just going to keep smoothing this on. And again, it's going to take about thirty seconds per section. And you'll know it's on good when you start to pull it away and all you get back is the paper. So I just want to keep going over every section that I want to apply. And I'm applying the whole thing so I want to get the edges really good. And you can't be too generous with the iron. You can even give it a blast of steam and you'll start to notice a moisture pattern on the back of the paper. That's how you know it's getting to be done. So it's starting to pull that moisture through."
