"Some of the common mistakes you'll experience while learning how to half cab front side flip are going to be that the board does not flip enough. What ends up happening is you go into the half cab flip position, you flip, and then you land on it upside down. The way that you can fix this is by testing the foot placement. One thing you can do is put a little more toe or a little less toe to see what works best for you. But usually when tricks don't flip enough, it usually means you want to put the tip of your toe on the board, so that allows it to flick quicker, and it's able to flip over by the time you get there. The other mistake that people have trouble with is rolling in a fakie position and heading in a blind side direction. It's a little bit scary because you can't see where you're going, so it's more of a feeling than being able to predict it with your eyes. So in that case, the more you test the trick, the more you work it out and figure out how to do the motion without being able to see, the better. And you'll be able to roll away, and you'll be able to have a better, cleaner, half cab front side kick flip."
