"Another good variation of the half cab kick flip is to learn how to half cab front side flip. It's the same version of the half cab flip, only you're heading the other way, the blind side way that you can't see. So for the half cab front side flip, what you're going to want to do is set up in a very similar position as you would for the other half cab flip, but for the front side you're going to travel behind the shoulder that you can't see, so there's going to be a lot of upper body momentum needed for this trick; almost a little more than the other. So what you're going to do is set up in a kick flip position, build up steam with your upper body, and force it around and look with your eyes in the direction that you're heading. And what you're going to do is flip the board, extend your foot out past the nose, and head in a front side position and land and roll away. Some of the tricks you're going to have to do before this is you're going to have to polish up on your half cab 180s. That's the root trick here, so the better you are at those, the better you'll be able to learn how to half cab front side 180 flip."
