The next exercise combines the hand movements with the arm movement which I showed you previously. So let's bring the arms up to the fifth position. Notice my stance, belly button in, shoulders back and down, head lifted proudly. As I start to bring the right arm down, I'm going to do a rotation outside with my hands and as I bring the arm up, I'm doing an inside rotation. I open the left arm, again, you notice an outside rotation with the hands and then and inside rotation. And I open out, one, and I bring it back up on two. And I open on three, and I bring it back up on four. Now let's do both arms at the same time. Notice the wide spread of the arms, almost like the wings of a bird and fly it and keep the hands moving in the rhythm of whatever dance you happen to be doing. Again, notice the high arch of the elbows sticking out as the wrists rotate and the hands very beautifully adorn the arm movements of Flamenco.
