The next hand movement, and a much more elaborate one, which we call the flower is using the same beginning position. In other words, the wrists are bent back, and all the fingers are wide spread towards the mirror, and you start to peel the fingers off on the inside rotation, with the pinkie, the ring, the middle, the pointer; you tuck the thumb, finish your rotation and open the hand fully. So in a way, it's like a flower closing and opening. Sometimes we look at it, or might compare it to a fan; the way the fan closes and the fan opens. When we do the reverse of this we're going to start with the thumb, the index, the middle, the ring, and the pointy, the pinkie rather, and as you come around and through and up, and around and through and up. Now let's look at that gesture, moving the fingers one in and one out, and you notice this is a very beautiful hand gesture, especially for the woman dancer.
