In addition to taking classes, you're going to want to get a private monologue coach. To really focus and hone in on your audition material. You need a repertoire of monologues. You need your contemporary comedic monologue. Your contemporary dramatic monologue. You need your classic comedic monologue. Your classic dramatic monologue. You need monologues to represent different genres of plays. And a monologue coach can really help you. So you have a real library to choose from. So that you're ready. As soon as you see that audition notice. You are ready with the appropriate monologue. It's not about just finding a good comedic monologue. You need one that resonates with you, as a person. The casting director is wanting to see, who you really are. As a person. As much as it is, people think of it as acting. And put it on a personae. It is, but no it's not. They want to know, who you are. What your strengths are, as a person. What you bring to it. What do you excel in. The importance of getting a monologue coach. To help you with that, cannot be overstated."
