"Hello I'm Dr. Miguel Rodriguez. I'm a gastroenterologist with Miami Gastroenterology Consultants in Miami, Florida. Well there are some natural supplements that can be used for management of acid reflux. From the good old fashioned antacids such as sodium bicarbonate, magnesium hydroxide, the over the counter medications to other things like peppermint oils that essentially allow the patient or the individual to have a nice burp. That usually takes care of most common symptoms of reflux. Other supplements that can be used will be some forms of solutions that are mixed with bicarbonate that will all help decrease the amount of pH in, the acid in the stomach."
