"Hi, my name is Robbie Hurtado and I'm here to talk today about careers and earnings in the Criminal Justice field. Now when we think of criminal Justice, there's all levels, we have dispatchers, security guards, police officers, police transcribers. So I'm going to start with entry level of security guards, for instance. First of all, you need a clean background check. Even though work in a police office or station, you need to have a clean background check, finger prints. So that way we know that there's no threat or no past history, that would interfere with your current job. Unfortunately, there are ways, if you've been in any type of trouble, to get these things expunged and dismissed from your record. Security officers, they start anywhere from twelve, up to eighteen dollars an hour. And if you have, what we call the TWIC, Transportations Workers Identification Credential card, you can double your salary. And the next level, say for instance, if you want to become a police officer. Well, starting police officers salary is anywhere between seventy five to eighty thousand dollars, just starting in training. So to end, administrative assistance in the police department, still background check, like I stated earlier. But that position is anywhere from four to five thousand a month. So there, it's a good, good, good earning and you can make a good living working in the Criminal Justice field. It's highly respectable, it's also covered by the Homeland Security. You can even work in the CIA. You can go on-line, govs.www.hotjobs.gov and gee, there's a host of jobs. And also careers, I'm sure I'm leaving out a few, that you can work in the Criminal Justice career. I highly recommend it."
