"You've decided you want to adopt a child or children and you have found out that it's not as easy to adopt children as you thought it might be, so you heard something about foreign adoptions and their being more children available through foreign adoptions. Hello, I'm Robert Todd and I'm here to talk about foreign adoptions. Well, obviously with a foreign adoption, there are more children available because there are more children worldwide than there are children in the United States of America and therefore the opportunities exist in a greater number. But even adoptions through foreign channels are not necessarily easier than adoptions here in the United States. In fact, when you talk about foreign adoptions, you are also including not just adoption laws in a state in which you are residing, but you are talking about other issues as well such as citizenship, such as immigrations, such as naturalizations, such as health issues, and the list goes on and on and on. So if you are seriously considering foreign adoption, we strongly urge you to consider contacting an adoption agency that regularly does foreign adoptions or contacting an attorney or a law firm that regularly does foreign adoptions because this is something you want to make sure is done correctly and legally. I'm Robert Todd and thank you for watching."
