"You or someone near to you, was adopted and now you have got to the point that you want to find out as much about you or that person's parents as much as possible. Hello! I'm Robert Todd. I'm here to answer the question, how to find open adoption records? The first place to begin is to start with as much information as you had to begin with. Another words, if you have a birth certificate and that birth certificate list the actual parents and or the adoption agency, that is where to start your search. Sort of that, you may contact the state in which you were adopted or contact the hospital that you were born in to start your search. And from that information, then you contact the individuals from the names, addresses and telephone numbers that were listed. It's a place to start. There are actually services listed on the Internet that can assist you but they can be somewhat expensive. I'm Robert Todd and thank you for watching."
